Montpellier Water Polo Club had a convincing 16-6 victory over Parisian side Taverny on Saturday night at home. A sluggish start to the game saw Montpellier ahead 6-4 at the half, finishing off with a 10-2 second stanza. Les Dauphins de Sete played well away from home to win 14-7 against Parisian side and newcomer from the second division Livry-Gargan.
New Zealand Men's Captain Tim Grace scored one goal in Montpellier's victory over Taverny. New Zealand and Maranui team mate Lachy Tijsen, didn't cap up against Livry-Gargan as he is suffering from a fissure in his tendon of his right shoulder.
In other matches, Coupe de France Champion, Marseille taught Noisy le Sec a lesson with a 19-1 drumming. Nice downed Aix Les Bains away from home and Strasbourg drew with Reims 12-12, finishing off with a 3-0 final period.
