Serbia wins Samartzidis Cup 2007

The men's international tournament for the Samartzidis Cup in the Athens, Greece, ended with a three-way-tie. On the final day of the four-team-event in the Greek capital home team Greece gained a narrow 10-9 victory against European champion and still ensured the second place. Despite the loss in the last tournament Serbia still remained on the first place due to the best goal difference in the head-to-head duels.

The tournament awards went to Serbia's Aleksandar Sapic as top scorer and Spain's Inaki Aguilar as best goalkeeper. As in the previous test matches tournament winner Serbia was still lacking some of their top players, who were still engaged in the matches of the Italian league.
