NEW FINA BUREAU 2005-2009



Montreal (CAN), July 22, 2005 – The FINA General Congress, held today in Montreal (CAN), elected the following FINA Bureau for the period 2005-2009:

• President: Mustapha Larfaoui (ALG)
• Honorary Secretary: Bartolo Consolo (ITA)
• Honorary Treasurer: Dr Julio Maglione (URU)
• Vice Presidents: Africa - Sam Ramsamy (RSA), Americas - Dale E. Neuburger (USA), Asia - Hironoshin Furuhashi (JPN), Europe - Nory Kruchten (LUX), Oceania - William (Bill) Matson (NZL)
• Members: Gennady Aleshin (RUS), Hussain Al Mussallam (KUW), Abd el Rahman Amin (EGY), Lynne Bates (AUS), Rafael Blanco (ESP), Sven Egil Folvik (NOR), Eldon C. Godfrey (CAN), Francis Luyce (FRA), Guillermo Martinez (CUB), Orban Mendoza (PUR), Coaracy Nunes Filho (BRA), Pipat Paniangvait (THA), Chief Olatokunbo Thomas (NGR) and Qiuping Zhang (CHN).

The General Congress also elected the new FINA Honorary Members, as follows:
